Toiletries - lip balm, toothbrush, hairbrush, face cloth, tissues
Hairdryer and brush
Mirror
Money (at own risk)
Black pen and copies of ID documents of both parents (for birth registration)
Set of clothes and shoes for going home.
Two facecloths (preferably dark-coloured)
All chronic medication, pregnancy vitamins, etc.
Cellphone, charger and double adapter (at own risk)
Camera and charger (at own risk)
Hair clips and hair bands to keep your hair off your face during labour.

A going-home outfit (multiple layers)
1 or 2 blankets, depending on the weather
Baby socks
Your baby book
Rear-facing car seat
Outfit for baby pictures

First trimester (weeks 1 to 12)

The first trimester is a busy time. Your baby will go through important stages of development, and you’ll experience many changes of your own. You’ll probably feel excited, curious, exhausted, and, well, pregnant. But you definitely won’t be bored. Be sure to take good care of yourself, exercise, eat healthy, rest when you need to, and learn as much as you can during these action-packed 12 weeks.

Your second trimester (weeks 13 to 27)

Welcome to your second trimester! Right now, your baby bump is probably starting to show, and your energy should be coming back. Many people feel great at this stage. Keep taking care of yourself with scheduled rest and regular prenatal visits so your care team can monitor the health of you and your growing baby.
